FUTMINNA UPASE Extended to October 4

FUTMINNA has extended its University Pre-Admission Screening Exercise to midnight on Sunday, 4 October 2026. Confirmed September 24, 2026. We checked the registration portal ourselves and it is still taking applications. The university has indicated there may be no further extension, so this is not a date to treat as movable a second time. Register before the 4th.

The extension first reached us through education outlets between 20 and 22 September. We waited until we had checked the portal ourselves before putting it here, and there is one thing to know before you go looking for it.

Their notice page has not been updated

We checked futminna.edu.ng on 24 September 2026. The notice page for this exercise still reads that registration will commence on Monday, 15th June, 2026 and end midnight of Sunday, 9th August, 2026. That is the original window, and the page has simply not been updated since the extension.

So a candidate who does the sensible thing and checks that page will conclude they missed it by a month and a half. That is the trap this post exists for. The registration portal, eportal.futminna.edu.ng, is the surface that reflects the live window, and it is the one we checked. It is still open.

What the extension does not change

UPASE is not a document check. There is a test you sit, and your score on it combines with your JAMB score into the aggregate FUTMINNA admits on. An extension buys you time to register and to prepare. It does not turn the exercise into paperwork.

The other thing it does not change is the cutoff that governs you. The general floor is 150, and several departments sit well above it, some at 200 and the competitive health programmes higher still. If your score is near your department’s line rather than near the floor, that is the number worth confirming before you pay for anything.

Before you pay

We are not printing a screening fee here, because we have not verified the current one, and a confident wrong figure about a payment is worse than no figure at all. The fee is the one thing on this page to confirm before you send money.

If you want us to handle the application, that is Post-UTME and School Application Assistance at ₦3,500 plus the university’s own fee, which we confirm with you before anything is sent.
