Lost Your JAMB Phone Number or Email? There Is Now an Official Fix

Announced by JAMB on X on September 21 and again on September 23, 2026, and reported by Punch and Daily Post. We have not yet run one end to end.

We publish the date so you can judge how fresh this is rather than take our word for it.

On 21 September 2026 JAMB announced a route for candidates who have genuinely lost access to the phone number or email address attached to their profile. It repeated the announcement on 23 September, and Punch and Daily Post carried it. Until now this was one of the harder dead ends in the whole process, because almost everything on JAMB runs through that contact.

This is not profile code recovery. That is a different service for a different problem, where the profile is intact and you have simply lost the code. This is for a profile whose contact details you can no longer reach at all.

What the process needs

Three things, and none of them can be skipped. A court affidavit. A fee paid on JAMB’s own portal. Then your biometrics, in person, at a JAMB office designated for it.

It is allowed once. That is the part worth sitting with before you start, because there is no second attempt if the change is made to a number or an address you also lose. Use a phone number and an email you will still control in two years.

JAMB warned about agents, so here is exactly what we charge

JAMB’s announcement warned candidates against unauthorised agents. That is a fair warning and we are not going to talk around it. So, plainly: the fee for this change is JAMB’s, it is ₦5,130, and it is paid to JAMB on their portal. It does not become ours by passing through us.

Our own charge is ₦1,000, shown separately on the services page, which makes ₦6,130 in total if we do it for you. You can also do the whole thing yourself, and if you are comfortable on JAMB’s portal you should. What we sell is somebody doing it carefully on a process you only get one attempt at.

We do not go with you for the biometrics. Nobody can, and anybody claiming they can attend that part on your behalf is selling something that does not exist. We will tell you which office to go to before you pay us anything.

If you do not have an affidavit

You need one before the change can be paid for. We can get one from the Federal High Court’s online portal as a separate service, ₦1,797 to the court plus ₦1,000 to us. You can also get one yourself at the court, and you do not need us for it.

The two are separate on purpose. If you already hold an affidavit, do not buy a second one.
