FULAFIA Post-UTME: screening extended to October 4
Screening extended to Sunday, October 4, 2026
Opened 6 July. First due to close 30 August, extended to 20 September, now extended again to 4 October.
FULAFIA’s 2026/2027 Post-UTME online registration and screening has been extended to Sunday, 4 October 2026. Confirmed from the university’s official notice, September 26, 2026: a FULAfia Special Bulletin dated 25 September 2026, published by its Directorate of Information and Public Relations.
This page said screening had closed on 20 September. The bulletin moved the date after it had passed, so if you read that here and stopped, read on. The reason given is the release of the 2026 NECO SSCE results on 24 September: the extension lets NECO candidates upload their results and complete screening. It applies to candidates who have not finished registration, or have not uploaded their NECO results.
What you actually need
- General cutoff
- At least 170.
- MBBS cutoff
- At least 230.
- Screening closes
- Sunday, 4 October 2026. Opened 6 July, first due to close 30 August, extended to 20 September, then extended again to 4 October. Confirmed from the university’s official notice, September 26, 2026.
- Who this extension is for
- Candidates who have not finished registration, or have not uploaded their 2026 NECO results.
- Institutional Transfer
- That window closed on September 7, 2026. The 25 September bulletin does not say it has reopened.
Does the extension actually cover you?
The date isn’t in question. What’s worth checking is whether you are one of the candidates the bulletin names: registration not finished, or NECO results not yet uploaded to your screening. If your situation is something else, such as an Institutional Transfer that was still being processed when that window closed on 7 September, don’t assume this extension covers it. Message us and we’ll tell you where you stand.
Sitting near 170, or near 230 for MBBS?
Clearing 170 makes you eligible to be considered. It doesn’t mean your department will take a candidate at 170 this session, and competitive departments routinely admit well above the published figure. If your score is close to the line, don’t guess. Message us before you pay.
One honest caveat
This deadline has moved twice this cycle, and pages online, including this one, can go stale fast. The cutoffs, fees and requirements here were last checked on 11 September 2026. The deadline and status above were confirmed from the university’s official notice on 26 September 2026. If anything has changed since, message us and we’ll confirm where things actually stand before you act on it.
Where people actually get this wrong
An extension is time, and time gets used badly the moment a deadline stops feeling urgent. A NECO result in your hand is not a NECO result on your screening, and a registration that is started is not one that is finished. Add a subject combination that doesn’t line up with the course, or documents assembled in the last week instead of the first, and 4 October arrives with nothing finished.
Screening is open until October 4
If you have registration to finish or a NECO result to add, you have until Sunday, 4 October. If you already completed screening before the 20th, this extension is not aimed at you, and where you stand will show on CAPS rather than on the university portal. Either way, tell us your score and your course and we will tell you what is genuinely worth your time rather than what you were hoping for.
