Portal re-opened to Sunday, October 4, 2026

You can still apply, as of the date below.

Status and deadline last confirmed 26 September 2026. The cutoffs, fees and requirements below carry their own date. We publish both so you can judge how fresh each is rather than take our word for it.

Dates change. Extensions and re-openings go to our WhatsApp channel first. It is for updates only. To ask about your case, message us on the chat.

JAMB CAPS is currently down. It has been unavailable since September 24, 2026, and it was still down when we checked on September 26, 2026. What the outage means for you

UNIABUJA Post-UTME: portal re-opened to October 4

Portal re-opened to Sunday, October 4, 2026

The re-opening covers both Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening registration.

The University of Abuja has re-opened its portal for 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening registration, and it stays open until Sunday, 4 October 2026. Confirmed from the university’s official notice, September 26, 2026, a public notice on its verified Facebook page.

The reason given is the release of the 2026 NECO results, so that affected candidates can complete screening. Registration had closed on 13 September, which is what this page said until 26 September. The notice gives no new fee, requirements or screening dates, so none are stated here as new. The figures below are the ones we checked on 11 September.

What you actually need

Registration window
Re-opened for Post-UTME and Direct Entry, open until Sunday, 4 October 2026. Confirmed from the university’s official notice, September 26, 2026. It had earlier moved from 26 August to 2 September, then to 13 September, and closed.
Your UTME score
At least 180. Engineering and Nursing need 200. Law needs 220.
Your O’Level results
Five credits including English and Mathematics, from no more than two sittings.
Your age
You must be at least 16 by 30 September 2026.
The screening itself
There’s no written test. UNIABUJA screens on your JAMB score and your O’Level results only.
The fee
₦2,000, paid to the university directly, as last checked on 11 September 2026. That’s UNIABUJA’s screening fee, not a Sagetech charge. The re-opening notice does not mention a fee.

If you’re not sure your score meets your specific department’s cutoff, don’t guess. Message us before you pay.

UNIABUJA generally needs to be your first choice on JAMB to register. If it isn’t, don’t pay the ₦2,000 yet. Message us and we’ll check whether a Change of Institution makes sense for you first.

Does the re-opening cover you?

The notice gives the release of the 2026 NECO results as the reason for the re-opening, so that affected candidates can complete screening. It does not say whether registration is limited to them. If you are not sure whether it covers you, message us before you pay rather than after.

One honest caveat

This deadline has closed and reopened more than once this cycle, and pages online, including this one, can go stale fast. The cutoffs, fees and requirements here were last checked on 11 September 2026. The deadline and status above were confirmed from the university’s official notice on 26 September 2026. If anything has changed since, message us and we’ll confirm where things actually stand before you act on it.

Where people actually get this wrong

Registering sounds simple until something doesn’t match. A wrong digit in your JAMB number, an email you don’t check anymore, paying again because you weren’t sure the first payment went through, or your subject combination not lining up with what the course actually needs. Any one of these can cost you the fee a second time, or worse, cost you the slot.

Already registered, or not sure?

If you’ve registered but you’re not sure it went through properly, or you don’t know if you’ve registered at all, don’t guess and don’t pay again to be safe. Message us your JAMB number and we’ll check where you actually stand before you do anything else.

The portal is open until October 4

If you registered before 13 September, where you stand shows on CAPS rather than on the university portal, and if an offer is there, accepting it and paying any acceptance fee are two separate steps with their own deadlines. The portal is open until Sunday, 4 October, and if you are not sure whether the re-opening covers your situation, ask us rather than guess. Send us your JAMB year, your course and a screenshot and we will read it with you.
